Show Your Work in PARIS+FRIENDS
Providence Public Library in collaboration with Art, Culture and Tourism, AS220 and OPEN will honor the legacy of our friend and colleague Adrian “Paris” Fernandez with the group exhibition at the PPL Gallery opening February 23 called “PARIS+FRIENDS” and YOU are invited to include your work.
The exhibition pays homage to Paris by mirroring his style – invitation, collaboration, and determination. The resulting show will highlight Paris’ artwork alongside the many friends who collaborated with him over the years – past, present and future.
Whether or not Paris ever programmed your work, if this call speaks to you – if you knew Paris, if he hung your show, if you collaborated with him, if you spent time together thinking through life’s mysteries, if you were planning on something together down the line – please consider yourself invited. Please also forward this invitation.
Drop off work at PPL Gallery (150 Empire St) on either Sat Feb 14 from 10-3:30pm or Tuesday Feb 17 from 10am-4pm. Need a time outside of these? Email Rebecca Noon at ACT (rnoon@providenceri.gov). Please ensure your work is prepped to be hung or displayed in the ideal manner for your piece.
We want to fill the space with everything and everyone Paris loved regardless of medium or size. We all know that Paris appreciated a challenge, so let’s make sure the space is full.
Long Live Paris.
