MicroGrants
ABOUT THE MICROGRANT
If you are an individual artist looking for $500 or less to support your artistic practice, you should consider applying for a MicroGrant. Through an annual allocation from the City’s General Fund, ACT is able to distribute a limited amount of these grants for individuals to:
- Attend a conference
- Purchase supplies
- Prepare work for a show
- Supplement marketing materials
- Small projects that can be completed with $500 or less in total
- Other related activities
MicroGrants are generally first-come basis and awarded until the funds are spent down each fiscal year (July 1-June 30). Artists may receive one MicroGrant per year and do not need to be fiscally sponsored by a 501c3 to apply. The applications are received on a rolling basis.
MicroGrants should not be used to supplement a large project budget or to pay an individual outside of a project that is artistic in nature.
FY26 MICROGRANTS ARE CURRENTLY CLOSED
Due to a high level of requests coming at the start of the fiscal year and a cut in the FY26 grant line, we are unable to grant anymore MicroGrants in FY26 (thru June 30, 2026). Please consider applying for the Project Fund.
