Celebrating the RIPTA Ward 14 Murals by Greg Pennisten

On July 31, 2026 ACT was joined by Mayor Smiley, Councilwoman Shelley Peterson, Chris Durand of RIPTA, artist Greg Pennisten and members of the public to celebrate our newest transit murals at two RIPTA bus shelters in Ward 14.

After a brief speaking portion, the assembled admired the work at the Admiral St shelter (770 Admiral St, Providence, RI 02908) and then walked 10 minutes to the Douglas St shelter (901 Douglas Ave, Providence, RI 02908).

As was said throughout the morning, creating art in unexpected places is a gift to our community that we are proud to each be part of making.
