One Providence New Year’s Eve 2019
Mayor Jorge O. Elorza, the City of Providence Department of Art, Culture + Tourism, East Commerce Solutions and Skyline at Waterplace were pleased to announce the third One Providence New Year’s Eve by Skyline which took place on Tuesday, December 31, 2019 at Waterplace Park.
To welcome 2020, Providence hosted a free outdoor spectacular in Waterplace Park beginning at 7:00 pm. “Providence is the place of be on New Year’s Eve,” said Mayor Jorge Elorza. “With a ball drop, laser show and fireworks, the Creative Capital will be bustling with fun activities for all ages to enjoy as we welcome 2020.” In addition to the late-night festivities, Finance Way was closed to traffic to accommodate a host of Providence’s legendary food trucks and popular holiday beverages and souvenirs will be sold throughout the night in the Waterplace Park Basin. All outdoor activities were free and open to the public.

This year we’re excited to have East Commerce Solutions as our presenting sponsor again and introduce even more surprises,” said Michael Mota, CEO of Skyline. “We want to see the City of Providence filled with people excited to bring in the New Year!” One Providence New Year’s Eve builds on Skyline’s successful 2018 celebration’s with a number of ticketed events: Skyline’s 7:00 pm black-tie gala ticket gives patrons access to passed hors d’oeuvres, dinner, desserts, party favors, cash bar, a champagne toast at midnight, entertainment from multiple DJs, and special live performances. In addition to the black-tie gala, At 9:00 pm, a tented rooftop celebration will begin. A rooftop ticket gives patrons access to light fare from Skyline, entertainment, and front row viewing of the ball drop and fireworks show. “We are excited to be the presenting sponsor for One Providence New Year’s Eve, said Ed Medeiros, CEO of East Commerce Solutions. “We attended the event last year and were blown away by the production.
